Chair - Brad Spurge

PSO: Rope Skipping Alberta
Club: SkipTime
A bit about Brad:
I first joined the jumprope community back in 2006 jumping with the nelson rhythm ropers. This began a new pathway for me that includes countless travels, memories and lifelong friendships. I’ve had the opportunity to travel to Seattle Washington, Washington D.C, London England, all across Canada, and most recently Japan thanks to our sport. I stepped away from the sport competing in my last provincials in 2017 as college began. In 2022 I decided it was time to return, joining a new team the Victoria island hoppers who quickly became a second family. I now live in Calgary as I continue training for Norway 2027. Through my years I have been coached, mentored and learnt from countless amazing people. I now look to give back to our new upcoming athletes and help push the sport forward giving all the athletes better competitions and opportunities and the years go on. My favourite trick has become a staple where while doing a TJ I will wave at the judges/spectators before doing another multiple back into the routine.

I truly love everything about this sport and any time I get to share it with others is a great experience. My favourite event is individual freestyle but I love any time I get to compete in team events. My favourite trick is the hummingbird. I look forward to another term on the RSC Athlete Council and representing all the athletes the best I can.

Secretary - Sophie Todd

PSO: Jump Rope British Columbia (JRBC)

Club: Skipping Sensations
A bit about Sophie: Hello, I am Sophie Todd, and I am representing BC. I have been jumping for 11 years, and my favourite trick is a jellyfish, my favourite singles event is team freestyle, and my favourite speed event is three-minute speed. I began jumping in Grade 3 for a camp, and I was soon invited to join the team for their first competitive season. I fell in love with the sport the moment I picked up a rope, and my passion continues to grow as I build lasting friendships not only with my own team, but also with athletes around the world. I got the opportunity to travel to Japan for Worlds, and I will forever cherish the memories and connections I made. The jump rope community is at the heart of what makes this sport so welcoming. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to serve in a leadership role where I can foster a sports environment in which all athletes feel safe, supported, and heard.

Social Media  - Meaghan Booth

PSO: Ontario Rope Skipping Organization (ORSO)
Club: Jumpsations
A bit about Meghan: My name is Meghan Booth, I am 18 years old and I have been involved with jump rope for almost 12 years now. I am a member of the Jumpsations team and  have been to countless competitions within Canada as well as both IJRU championships in Colorado and Japan.
I chose to be on the RSC athlete council to stay involved with the sport as I have moved to Peterborough for schooling and have had to take a small step back from participating as an athlete as I will be going into my third knee surgery. I have been able to help out as a Coach,  Judge and member of the Ontario athlete council but taking this opportunity to step up as a member at the national level is really exciting for me to stay involved with the sport as promised in my 2025 scholarship.
Every year I am involved with the ORSO workshop, local Christmas parades, Jump rope for heart demos and help out with other events like the Good Games and Can Fit Pro.  Some of my favourite jump rope experiences have been traveling with my team, going out for team dinners as well as learning from other athletes at international competitions. I find it so cool to learn different styles from all around the world.

Social Media - Clara Snell

PSO: Rope Skipping Alberta
Club: Calgary Skip Squad
A bit about Clara: At 8 years old I saw a demo done while on Vacation in BC, My parents found a club in Calgary that had a rec program which I jumped on until grade 8. One of my favourite memories is completing my first Paris routine at nationals, our final pose matched the music perfectly and the audience was cheering, helping me feel so proud of myself and my teammate for getting that far. I also got to travel to Penticton along with some other athletes to perform while making many new friends. It truly felt like a full circle moment from when I joined the sport. My favourite events are double dutch singles and pairs and single rope pairs freestyle.
